The Senior Project Manager for Sales & Distribution will be responsible for project management, process improvement, program development and program implementation. This role will use project management and process improvement discipline to analyze the current situation, develop current state vs future state process maps, identify potential solutions, and manage a project implementation plan. The Senior Project manager works in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to identify impacts, dependencies, key milestones and risks. This role requires flexibility, agility and the ability to adapt to change while maintaining solid relationships with stakeholders in a highly cross-matrixed environment.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Lead project teams through an organized process to align on project definition, define business goals & requirements, understand current state vs desired future state, identify & select a solution, prioritize work, set key milestones, specify tasks, manage risks and implement the project
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams across the enterprise to define & implement projects
  • Develop detailed project plans to execute business objectives
  • Monitor the project implementation process ensuring that work is progressed as desired
  • Manage resolution of project issues, risks or roadblocks
  • Implement effective solutions to mitigate risk
  • Ensure that all project activities comply with industry regulations and requirements
  • Manage the project change control process, ensuring that changes are documented, approved, and implemented appropriately
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders, sponsors and senior leaders
  • Create effective and clear project communications materials including presentations, status reports and meeting notes
  • Develop and maintain project artifacts including project plans, risk/issue logs and decision trackers
  • Continuously improve project management processes and methodologies to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve project outcomes

Required Qualifications:



  • 4+ years of experience in project management, product management, marketing, sales, business analysis, process improvement or business operations
  • 4+ years of synthesizing business needs and implementing solutions
  • 2+ years of advanced proficiency with PC based software programs (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, SharePoint)


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Proven strategic thinker who can quickly grasp complex issues and is comfortable with ambiguity
  • Demonstrated solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and constantly changing environment
  • Proven self-starter with demonstrated ability to structure own work and drive projects from inception to completion

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
