Job Description

We are seeking a strong Finance Director to join our team. The NA Advisory Finance team applies a strategic finance advisory model with key stakeholders across muti-functional and cross-geographic teams, while applying data analytics to business and finance decisions, as well as performance measurement. We are an agile, highly visible team that collaborates across the NA region to enable business growth and effective decisioning through strategic thinking, financial expertise, insightful analytics, and thought leadership.

As a director, you will serve as a strategic finance partner to the leaders of our NA Advisory Services business and work closely with other global and cross-functional teams. You will collaborate with senior leadership to develop financial strategies and analytics that enable business decision making for long-term sustainable growth. This role will also support strategic decision making on investments and portfolio level tradeoffs through effective financial analytics. The position involves deriving important insights and effectively communicating with senior leaders across Finance and the business. The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in strategic finance, financial business analysis, preferably with a public company, and demonstrated experience collaborating with various functions.

This role sits on the NA Advisory Leadership Team, and requires interpersonal skills to cultivate partnerships across functions, regions, and teams, to drive thought leadership, interrogate business growth assumptions and successfully enact all planning, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting processes, including presenting results and providing insights and analysis to senior business partners and executives.

Essential Functions

Strategic Advice and Business Partnership

  • Establish strong partnerships with leaders of the various Advisory Services business and their respective Strategy & Ops teams to understand reporting needs, and provide strong finance support on revenue, expenses, and headcount
  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge of the strategic priorities and issues confronting the business, including understanding service and product offerings, market dynamics, and underlying drivers
  • Lead the building of business cases to support investments, go-to-market strategies and new service offering launch
  • Combine observed patterns and trends to develop accurate forecasts and be able to triangulate and exercise good judgement and deep business acumen
  • Work closely with sales teams to understand pipeline for products and services, and evaluate penetration, pricing, and opportunities for growth

Financial Management

  • Lead the coordination, organization and execution of key financial planning activities including multi-year strategic planning, annual financial planning, quarterly forecasting and business reviews, pricing analysis, month-end analytics and management reporting
  • Keenly monitor revenue and expense trends through driver-based analytics, and translate findings into succinct narratives for business executives with the aim of providing early signals on performance trends and actionable guidance to help drive desired business outcomes
  • Understand and communicate business levers, and recommend measures to further improve financial results and business margins, while assessing financial risks and opportunities, and evaluating options to optimize return on investments
  • Establish efficient processes and expand strong reporting and analytics capabilities across the broader Advisory business
  • Work closely with the NA Advisory strategy and operations teams to monitor inventory of incentive funds and quasi-incentive funds, including managing allocation and utilization

Project Management

  • Spearhead the identification and implementation of continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness around financial planning business decision making
  • Execute on a variety of ad-hoc requests and lead special projects
  • Provide decision support to senior finance leadership on investment / project decisions as well as strategic organizational and functional developments

Business Engagement

  • Integration of finance into the business, and develop business acumen depth
  • Tailored, effective presentations, analysis and dialogue with each business partner
  • Dialogue around budget and spend to optimize budget and investments, return-on-investment discipline
  • Robust toolkit to help manage the business and enable management decision making

People and Stakeholder Management

  • Mentor and professionally develop team members, including instilling best practices
  • Cultivate strong relationships and communicate effectively
  • Influence and collaborate across key global and regional business partners and multi-functional stakeholders on a variety of deliverables and activities

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

* 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

* 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD

* Progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance or experience in strategy/management consulting, or investment banking

* Graduate, undergraduate degree and/or other Finance-related professionally recognized accreditations (e.g. CPA, CFA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA)

* Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills, can-do attitude to resolve tough business problems with well-structured analysis

* Highly strategic thinker combined with a strong business acumen and ability to rapidly establish a broad and deep understanding of the payments business landscape

* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to be able to "connect the dots" and approach issue resolution with a "forward-looking" view to anticipate and address problems.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent written, oral, listening and presentational skills and ability to work well under pressure and interact at all levels as a thought-partner

* Capable of handling and prioritizing multiple tasks, possess good judgment and organizational skills, able to work independently and collaborate as part of a cross-functional, regional and matrixed organization

* Experience with sophisticated financial systems (e.g., Oracle) or data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau), plus experience with building dashboards for self-service analytics

* Experience as a people manager, leading teams to achieve excellence in Financial Management and Business Partnerships

* High energy and enthusiasm required to partner with multiple stakeholders

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 180,700.00 to 262,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
