Our clientis seeking a Senior Accountant to support their corporate accounting function.The ideal candidate has strong general ledger accounting experience, attention to detail, and the desire to work in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities: Record and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper account coding. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and verify supporting detail, addressing discrepancies in a timely manner. Develop recurring and ad hoc financial reports for leadership, summarizing key results and insights. Track departmental spending against budgets, noting unusual variances and partnering with teams to address them. Coordinate close activities, including ensuring all required system tasks are completed on schedule. Provide financial data and insights to support the creation of annual budgets and interim forecasts. Serve as a resource for other departments by clarifying accounting procedures and requirements. Research and evaluate the impact of unusual or complex transactions, recommending the most appropriate accounting approach. Assemble supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external auditors. Uphold GAAP compliance, internal control standards, and organizational accounting policies. Suggest and assist in implementing workflow and reporting improvements to streamline operations. Perform additional accounting functions as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on month-end close and reconciliations. Experience with Oracle ERP systemand financial reporting tools preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
