Your Role: Hands-On, Impactful, and Fast-Paced

As a CEI Field Supervisor in Columbia, South Carolina, you'll oversee a skilled team of construction materials testing technicians and inspectors. You'll play a vital role in ensuring project success by providing exceptional testing services, maintaining strong client relationships, and promoting operational excellence. Your leadership will be essential in coordinating with clients, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and ensuring the highest safety standards are met.

What You'll Do:

As a CEI Field Supervisor you will:

• Collaborate with clients and contractors to align schedules and ensure smooth service delivery.
• Manage project timelines and keep all involved parties informed with regular updates.
• Partner with internal teams to support proposals and pre-qualification efforts.
• Lead staff development initiatives, ensuring training and certification requirements are met.
• Provide hands-on support to staff in conducting testing and inspections when necessary.
• Contribute to the recruitment process by assisting with interviews and the selection of field staff.

What We're Looking For:

• A High School diploma or GED
• A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical engineering or a construction-related field, a plus
• A minimum of 4 years experience in construction materials testing
• SCDOT certifications, a plus
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
• Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing), using the English language

What To Expect:

You are willing and able to perform the physical demands of this position with the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment such as:

• Working outdoors the majority of the time in varying weather conditions
• Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially up to 12 hours a day
• Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs, (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
• Maneuvering field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow, on uneven ground around active construction sites
