 Essential Duties:
 
   Required Skills:
 Work with multi-disciplined team members under general supervisionProvide a friendly and professional point of contact for customersPerform independent troubleshooting of complex incidentsPerform a multi-disciplined range of technical system and application activitiesInstall, configure, and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software, and componentsAdminister and manage Windows and Linux systems in the operations, engineering, analysis, and test environmentsAdminister installation of software, hardware, file system management, backups, process control, user administration, and device managementResolve a wide variety of complex system failures, troubleshooting software, hardware, and network problemsPerform system and user account maintenanceTest and assess security configuration of Windows serversMonitor, evaluate, and optimize system performanceAnalyze, test, and implement security patches and hardeningDocument maintenance & ticketing actionsDevelop and promote standard operating procedures and conduct routine hardware and software audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelinesIf required, assist in IT security incident response and documentation
 
   Preferred Skills:
 Experience in Windows systems administrationUnderstanding of multiplatform system hardening (e.g., DISA STIG, SCAP)Strong understanding of VMware vSphere virtual environmentsExperience with scripting for task automation (e.g., PowerShell, Batch, BASH)Proficient knowledge of cyber security technology and trends (e.g., Tenable, McAfee, Splunk)Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., switching, routing, firewalls, load balancing)Experience with system monitoring & alerting tools (e.g., Nagios)Experience working within an accredited systemAbility to work independently & in a team environmentAn active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
 
   
 Ideally 4-7 year of experience in a related Admin roleA Top Secret/SCI security clearance with in-scope polygraph is preferredExperience in multiplatform systems administration (Windows and Linux) is desiredWindows Server 2016/2019/2022 configuration, management, and troubleshootingUnderstanding of Group Policy managementExperience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (8, 9)Some experience with SAN management (e.g., NetApp, Dell Unity, HPE GreenLake)Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (i.e., Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops)Exchange Server 2019 configuration, management, and troubleshootingExperience with systems management and automation software e.g., (Endpoint Configuration Manager, Satellite, Ansible, Systems Center Orchestrator)Experience in multiplatform environments (Windows and Linux)Experience with High Performance Computing
