Summary of Job Duties:The Marketing Writer reports to the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer and is a key member of the communications and marketing team. This position is responsible for creating compelling, clear, and persuasive content across multiple channels, including email marketing, print materials, and narrative-driven storytelling pieces. The Marketing Writer helps drive engagement and strengthens brand identity through creative and impactful writing. Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field;

  • Up to one year of professional or relevant internship experience writing clear, compelling, and persuasive copy for various mediums (e.g., print, web, social media, or advertising).

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • One year of experience using email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CMS, or social scheduling platforms);

  • One year of experience conducting interviews and developing stories or content from source material;

  • At least one year of experience working in a deadline-driven environment;

  • Experience working in higher education or a mission-driven organization is a plus;

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt voice and style across multiple content types;

  • Experience contributing to projects as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills;

  • Strong attention to detail;

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment;

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Familiarity with branding and content strategy principles.

Salary Information:

$40,000-$45,000
