Our Opportunity

Senior Associate, Construction Consulting (Oakland, CA) (multiple positions). Perform engineering analysis for construction project planning; Support capital electric distribution program management and project controls efforts for utility clients by analyzing and managing construction project scope, cost, schedule, resources, changes and risks. Communicate with client leadership on program status, variance reporting and financial and execution risks. Aids in clearing dependencies and ensuring work progresses through pre-construction phases timely. Coordinate with cross-functional teams on client's side (such as Asset Management, Resource management) to identify and execute program scope. Conduct case studies on construction research projects on technical topics such as predictive analytics in serious injuries and fatalities prevention. Perform data management and analytics for construction capital projects and program data. Monitor material order statuses, pre-commissioning, and commissioning statuses for large electric distribution reliability programs. Review construction estimating packages, risk registers, team rosters, and P6 schedules for business case development. Synthesize qualitative data and support framework development. Coordinate construction consulting projects and tasks by developing proposals and change orders, reviewing and approving invoices, and monitoring monthly spending. Deliver technical papers and client presentations.



You will have the following skills and qualifications

  • Requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
  • 1 year of experience in the position offered or a related position in the construction consulting field
  • 1 year of experience in performing construction project management
  • 1 year of experience in utilizing Primavera P6, Power BI, SAP, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Excel to conduct construction data analysis
  • 1 year of experience in performing cost control and project estimating for construction projects
  • 1 year of experience in conducting financial modeling, cost analysis and management for large capital projects and programs
  • 1 year of experience in preparing and reviewing technical construction drawings and construction documentations for construction projects.
