We are hiring a Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to be responsible for providing clinical oversight, strategic leadership, and quality assurance for all behavioral health and crisis programs within Benchmark Human Services across all markets and service lines. This role ensures that all clinical operations align with best practices, regulatory compliance, person-centered approaches, and trauma-informed care while promoting innovation and growth in behavioral and mental health services.

Job Responsibilities:

National Clinical Oversight & Leadership

* Develop and implement standardized clinical policies and procedures across all states and service lines.

* Provide direct clinical consultation and oversight to state clinical directors, ensuring best practices in behavioral health interventions.

Crisis Program and Behavioral Health Expansion

* Provide national oversight of Benchmark's clinical services, including mobile crisis response teams, intensive in-home supports, and crisis/high behavioral stabilization homes.

* Develop and support the expansion of behavioral health services across different states, focusing on crisis intervention, co-occurring disorder treatment, and innovative service delivery models.

Staff Development & Training

* Develop a national training framework for clinical staff, including BCBAs, behavior specialists, licensed therapists, and direct support professionals.

* Establish and oversee a structured supervision program for new and existing BCBAs, including fidelity monitoring of behavior plans.

Data-Driven Decision Making & Quality Assurance

* Oversee the implementation of data analytics systems (e.g., Power BI) to track behavioral trends, program effectiveness, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

* Ensure fidelity in behavioral data collection and analysis to drive continuous quality improvement.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

* Ensure all clinical programs comply with applicable state and federal regulations, including DBHDD, Medicaid, and BACB guidelines.

* Provide oversight for ethical practices in behavior support services, ensuring adherence to the BACB Code of Ethics and DBHDD regulations.

Family and Community Engagement

* Lead national efforts in increasing family and caregiver engagement in behavioral treatment planning.

* Promote public education and outreach initiatives to reduce stigma around IDD, ASD, and mental health crises.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.) in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychologist, or Board Certified Behavior Analyst - Doctoral (BCBA-D).
  • At least 10 years of experience in clinical leadership, with a strong background in IDD, ASD, and mental health crisis services.
  • Demonstrated experience in multi-state clinical oversight and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid policies, federal regulations, and behavioral health accreditation standards (CARF, Joint Commission, etc.).
  • Five years of experience working in a Crisis Setting serving individuals with IDD and or a co-occurring disability
  • Five years of supervisory experience
  • Experience leading clinical programs at a national or multi-state level.
  • Extensive background in crisis intervention and behavioral stabilization programs.
  • Proven success in staff development, clinical supervision, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) to drive clinical decision-making.
