Maintenance Technician
Gorman & Company is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to support one of our residential communities in Kenosha. At Gorman, we believe that our people are our most important asset. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll tackle a variety of responsibilities to keep our properties in top shape, including:
- Resident Support: Responding to service requests with speed, care, and expertise.
- Unit Turnovers: Prepping apartments for new residents by painting, cleaning, and repairing/replacing fixtures and appliances.
- Preventative Maintenance: Regularly inspecting grounds, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances to catch and resolve issues early.
- Groundskeeping: Maintaining cleaning within community, well-kept outdoor spaces and assisting with snow removal when necessary.
- Emergency Support: Being ready to step in when urgent maintenance situations arise.
What Makes You a Great Fit?
- A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Previous maintenance experience, with strong mechanical skills.
- The ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair systems like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
- Familiarity with work orders and safety best practices.
- Great communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Availability for on-call duty as needed.
