Dartmouth College: Geisel School of Medicine: The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice Location Lebanon, NH Open Date Mar 12, 2025 Description Dartmouth College invites applications for a Guarini Dean's Postdoctoral Fellowship in The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice at the Geisel School of Medicine. This fellowship will support scholars whose research addresses improving the quality, accessibility, and cost of health care. Fellows can work directly with the Health Economics Lab and Drs. Carrie Colla, Emma Dean, and Johnny Huynh on research. Specific areas of interest include evaluating the effectiveness of payment and delivery systems, the pharmaceutical industry, and addressing disparities in health care. This fellowship is designed to promote student and faculty diversity at Dartmouth and throughout higher education by supporting scholars with a demonstrated motivation and ability to advance educational diversity and inclusivity. Applicants will be selected based on their academic achievement, promise in research and teaching, and potential for advancing diversity and inclusivity in higher education. This is a two-year residential fellowship, including one course taught in the second year with the fellow serving as the instructor of record. Fellows are expected to pursue research activities and collaborative grant writing while participating fully in the intellectual life of the department and the college. Fellows receive an annual stipend of approximately $65,000 plus benefits and an allocation for research expenses (exact funding levels will be set at the time of offer). Guarini Dean's Postdoctoral Fellows are part of the Provost's Fellowship Program, a multidisciplinary cohort of approximately ten predoctoral and postdoctoral scholars committed to increasing diversity and inclusivity in their disciplines. Fellows participate together in mentoring and professional development programming, including guidance in preparing for faculty careers.
