Get ready to lead the charge as a Chief Test Engineer at AriensCo! You'll be at the forefront of our testing and validation efforts, ensuring our world-class outdoor power equipment meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. This dynamic leadership role blends technical expertise, strategic vision, and hands-on involvement in testing processes. THE DAY TO DAY...
Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of test technicians. Project plans for larger capital projects. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the testing team. Provides input to 5-year plans and strategic initiatives Develop and implement the strategic vision for testing and validation processes. Create and manage comprehensive testing plans that support New Product Development, Innovation, Warranty Reduction, and Component Verification Drive the development and implementation of innovative testing methodologies and technologies. Ensure that testing processes are efficient, effective, and scalable through standard work and documentation. Implement best practices and standardize testing procedures across the team Oversee the setup and execution of tests for components, systems, and full product assemblies. Designs test layouts, instrumentation, fixtures and selects equipment for purchase Analyze test data and provide actionable insights to the engineering and product development teams. Prepare detailed test reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders Ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Maintain compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards. Ensure that all tests are conducted safely, accurately, and in accordance with industry standards. Manage the testing team's resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget. Optimize resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective test execution. Identify bottlenecks and mitigation measures, work with outside labs as needed Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes. Drives and tracks metrics for the supporting staff. Leads CI teams and tracks progress Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless product validation and launch
THE QUALIFICATIONS...
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.S.) from a four-year accredited institution, with a focus relevant to the job requirements (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering) Minimum of 10 years of experience in testing and validation, with a significant portion in a leadership role Proven track record of leading and managing test teams Expertise in developing and implementing advanced testing methodologies, such as ALT, HALT, field testing, Fatigue Life Analysis, Structural, NVH, and Duty Cycle Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and engineering software tools (e.g., Solidworks, Minitab, Siemens Testlab, MTS-Test Control, RPC, Somat TCE, Siemens) Familiarity with OPE industry regulations and standards (e.g., IEC, ANSI, UL, ASTM, ISO) preferred
