We are currently seeking a PMO Manager to join our team in Montgomery, Alabama (US-AL), United States (US).

The Project Management Office (PMO) Manager is a key position supporting a Medicaid Modernization Program in Montgomery Alabama. This individual will report to the contract manager and be responsible for the core PMO team that is responsible for all project management processes including status reporting, scheduling, risk and issue management, deliverables management, communications and SharePoint. The PMO supports and standardizes the work of NTT DATA project managers. The PMO manager works directly with the client Program manager and staff, advising and supporting them on the day-to-day progress of the modernization of the Medicaid systems. In addition, He/she will manage the operations of the PMO support team including SharePoint, DMT, status reporting, and office operations. The PMO manager will facilitate communication between project managers, account leadership and the client.

Duties include:

  • Managing a team of roughly 10 specialists in scheduling, SharePoint, risk and issue management, quality management and technical writing.
  • Overseeing activities each member of the PMO team.
  • Participating in leadership of the Alabama account as a direct report to the contract manager.
  • Making recommendations to the client and account leadership on risk, issues and mitigations provided by team and vendor project managers.
  • Overseeing audits and contract management of the vendors implementing systems for the State Agency
  • Leading status and operational meetings and managing follow up.
  • Ensuring applicable PMO standards are used to complete project tasks
  • Expected to undertake any additional duties as they are assigned by their Manager

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years managing a Project or Program Management Office
  • Minimum 8 years managing multiple concurrent projects
  • 6+ years of experience managing implementation and operations of Medicaid projects.
  • 6+ years of experience managing multi-contractor projects, or similar complex integration efforts.
    • Must be on client site at as requested by the client (Approximately 25%)
  • PMP or Equivalent Certification

  • Ability to work independently and manage work to a defined schedule
  • Capable of conducting meetings and making presentations
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Experience on an MMIS or insurance exchange project a plus

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $124,166- $180,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
