Job Description Summary: The Microfabrication Planner/Scheduler will be an operationally critical player in the microfab, which develops and manufactures next-generation and application-specific sensors and devices.The microfab focuses on inertial MEMs, but also develops solutions leveraging photonics, microfluidics, novel materials and 3D integration, including interposer and wafer level packaging (WLP) concepts. The Microfabrication Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for developing the detailed schedules and plans related to production execution and material procurement. They interact heavily cross-functionally with Programs, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations to ensure microfabrication execution commitments will be met on time and budget for Draper's customers. The Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for working with the Microfab Production Manager on the planning and scheduling of production and research/development wafers to ensure timely delivery and optimal utilization of fab resources (equipment, labor and materials). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning within a semiconductor or MEMS fabrication environment, understanding or experience in the startup, configuration and implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES), excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
