The Sr. Sales Support Engineer position provides technical sales support to the Imaging Products & Solutions of Americas - Professional Division. You will be supporting Sony Account Managers, Sony Resellers, System Integrators, & their sales force. You will be providing support in the form of product demos, product clinics, and product training sessions, as well as, assisting the Reps and Account Managers in closing sales. As a Sr. Sales Support Engineer, a strong understanding of the various networks, computer operating systems, and broadcast infrastructures, in order to determine the best solution for our customers. Some of the products and technologies that you will be supporting are Professional products including Studio Cameras and Imaging products.

Your duties will include:

  • Providing in-person and virtual dealer product support, resolving technical issues with Sony products in the field, and ensuring that Resellers, Sales Reps, Distributors and System Integrators have all the technical material to meet their requirements.

  • You will also be supporting key customersthrough post-sales support, including making sure firmware and software updates have been installed on products; and escalating when needed to the Sony Service Organization when physical repair is deemed necessary, and other duties as assigned.

  • Gathering information and providing feedback to Marketing & Product Management on Sony product issues and driving product challenges to final resolution.

  • Providing feedback to Product Management on competitive information affecting sales of Sony products. This will include supplying monthly reports on wins and losses of business and competitive information, acting as a liaison between Sales and Marketing/Product management.

  • Provide support for and attending Regional and national shows and demonstrations, as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; In lieu of a BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, must have a High School diploma and equivalent and 8 years of directly related experience.

  • 4-6 years of related business in the Broadcast Market.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • In-depth understanding of computers and their operating systems such as Windows 10/11.

  • Must have Intermediate skill level in MS Office

  • Must be able to travel 60% of the time, as required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $ 87,831.00to $117,109.00.The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave.
