Hybrid Role: Must be able to come on-site periodically and reside a commutable distance from the assigned work location.

Emergency Response: Yes - Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Job Summary
    Provide financial and analytical support to the Risk Management organization
Key Accountabilities
  • Runs End-of-Day processes including portfolio valuation, positions, Mark To Market, value-at-risk, daily Profit & Loss (P&L), and report distributions.
  • Manages static data within the risk management system including forward energy price curves, interest rates, historical price data, FX rates, and option implied volatilities.
  • Prepares and issues P&L and other daily risk reports.
  • Makes VBA and SQL coding changes to spreadsheets and database queries.
  • Maintains metric data over key processes.
  • Utilizes continuous improvement methodologies and techniques to improve quality, delivery and efficiency of assigned work task and processes.
  • Manages special projects, research issues, develop recommendation and implement solutions.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in a business discipline, math, engineering, science or quantitative discipline
  • Does not require previous experience
Other Qualifications

Preferred

  • VBA/SQL coding experience.
  • Knowledge of general commercial transactions, business and/or accounting
  • Experience with the Openlink Endur trading and risk management system

Other Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of software systems, in particular Microsoft Excel and databases.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills and be able to interact with traders, back office, accounting, tax and outside counterparties.
  • Must be reliable and willing to accept responsibility for assigned tasks.
  • Dedication to complete daily reporting requirements is imperative.
  • Overtime may be required at times.
