DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, assigning, and evaluating the work of a team comprising technical, storeroom, and clerical personnel involved in various highway management functions. The incumbent will oversee a range of administrative and technical operations within the Allegheny County Maintenance Organization, ensuring effective supervision of these activities.
You will assist senior management in the strategic planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks, gathering data from Assistant Highway Maintenance Managers (AHMM) to support the formulation of Annual Work Plans and Period Plans. This process is crucial for ensuring that all relevant information is accurately recorded and maintained within the SAP Plant Maintenance System. Additionally, you will process and review work plans to confirm that the program is well-balanced and that the necessary labor, materials, equipment, and funding are available to execute these plans. Recommendations for adjustments to work plans will be made as needed.
As part of your responsibilities, you will utilize transaction Y_DC1_32000893 to provide each assistant with a spreadsheet detailing the current plan. They will then assess the planned work, making necessary additions, adjustments, or removals for the upcoming year. You will also supply the AHMM with updated deadlines and completion data to help maintain the maintenance schedule as closely as possible. Furthermore, you will offer recommendations to the AHMM to ensure that the planned work aligns with the cycle maintenance schedule. After reviewing the annual work plan with the AHMM and RPM, you will finalize the plan and enter the Annual Work Plan into SAP using transaction MS65. A thorough review of all rented equipment and material costs will be conducted with the RPTS and RPM to ensure proper budget allocation. Finally, you will analyze data from the SAP Plant Maintenance and RMS Systems to verify that program objectives are met and that overall system control is upheld. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh.
- This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS), at managers discretion.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Roadway Programs Technicians 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of experience in the analysis, development and implementation of methods and techniques in a roadway maintenance management system and an Associate's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or in a civil engineering related discipline; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
