Pay Rate: $16.50/hour
Length: 12 weeks
Hours: 40 hours/week
Location: Remote

What will you be doing and learning?

Macmillan Learning is seeking an Editorial Intern for the STEM Editorial team. We develop online content, media and assessment to support instructors and students using our higher education STEM products. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in digital content development and editorial processes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Assist in the development and review of online media and assessment for higher education STEM courses
  • Assist in the design and preparation of in-class activity materials and e-book content for higher education STEM courses
  • Assist in the development of digital resources for higher education STEM courses
  • Assist in text and art manuscript preparation
  • Assist in reviewing ePubs in production


Skills / Knowledge:



  • Currently enrolled in a degree program (i.e. Bachelor's, Master's, etc)

    • Preferred Majors: STEM fields (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics)


  • We will accept applicants graduating from their degree in Spring 2025
  • Passion for education and learning, particularly in STEM
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google G Suite, and Adobe Acrobat


This internship is eligible for remote participation, excluding the following locations: Arizona, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Washington DC, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington State, West Virginia, Wyoming.
