Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician 1 to join the Cardio- Intensive Care Unit. This role will be full-time day/night rotating shift from Monday - Friday (including some weekends), 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m./ 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

Clinical Technician Job Responsibilities (to include but not limited to)



  • Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.

    • ADLs
    • Blood Draws
    • IV Insertion
    • Catheter / Foley insertion

  • Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
  • Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.


Requirements:



  • Work Schedule: (3) 12-hour shift (Monday - Friday {including some weekends} days/nights rotating, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.)
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
  • Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
  • Training: Must be available for six (6) weeks of paid training, consisting of,

    • Virtual modules
    • Classroom-style sessions: 8AM - 4:30PM
    • On-unit training with department hired into (times TBD)

  • Experience: Prior clinical experience in healthcare is strongly preferred.
