THE POSITION
-
The County Administrative Office is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support the County Administrator and play a key role in managing county-wide initiatives and projects. This position requires exceptional organizational, coordination, and communication skills, as the Executive Assistant will serve as a liaison for the County Administrator, both internally and externally, while representing the County to various stakeholders. Key responsibilities of this position include:
Confidential Administrative Support: Provide high-level administrative assistance to the County Administrator and executive leadership, handling sensitive assignments with discretion. Travel Coordination Scheduling & Calendar Management: Manage the County Administrator's travel and schedule as well as provide executive support to the Assistant County Administrators as needed. Project Coordination: Organize, support, and facilitate cross-functional teams involving multiple departments and stakeholders. Project Planning & Reporting: Develop project plans, track progress, and prepare reports and recommendations for the County Administrator, Assistant County Administrators, the Board of County Commissions, and management to support informed decision-making. County-Wide Coordination: Plan and oversee various annual County-wide activities and special management projects in collaboration with all County departments. Vendor & Contract Oversight: Review vendor/contract performance for compliance with provisions and timelines and coordinate necessary documentation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Public or Business Administration, English, Communications, or a related field, AND four (4) years of administrative and office management experience providing confidential support to an executive office. OR
- An Associate Degree in Public or Business Administration, English, Communications or a related field, AND six (6) years of administrative and office management experience providing confidential support to an executive office. OR
- Eight (8) years of administrative and office management experience providing confidential support to an executive office.
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a criminal background check.
