What's involved in this role:

The Production Trainer is trained to effectively and safely carry out the duties/tasks of each position within production. This position will conduct all hands-on and classroom training for new hires and make ups.

  • Night Shift: 7p-7a, 2-2-3 schedule
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct all hands-on and classroom training for new hires and make ups.

  • Oversee and manage training checklists for employee being trained.

  • Learn to carry out all tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Assisting in the production process and learning various tasks.

  • Assist with document control.

  • Data entry.

  • Fully trained in all departments.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean work place, free of safety hazards.

  • Use proper personal protective equipment at all times.

  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and the Master Sanitation Schedule.

  • Safety Protocol

    • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.

    • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.

    • Support safety policies and programs.

Education Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Experience Required:

  • Previous work experience in a food safety/manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Training experience preferred.

Certification/Licensure Required:

  • None

Skills Required:

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.

  • Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.

  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.

  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to solve problems by adapting knowledge and experience.

  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
