Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and managing the financial aspects of our organization's operating expenses. This role requires a strong grasp of financial principles, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective cost management.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Financial Analysis:


    • Perform financial analysis of ongoing operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities, risks, and potential cost overruns, and provide actionable recommendations.


  • Planning, Cost Allocation & Tracking:


    • Collaborate with department leaders to develop financial estimates of costs incurred by area.
    • Monitor monthly charges to ensure appropriate operations are charged and expenditure categorization aligns with contracts.


  • Financial Reporting:


    • Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for various departments.
    • Communicate complex financial data in a clear and concise manner, enabling informed decision-making.
    • Assist in monthly and quarterly close processes.
    • Execution of internal controls to comply with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)


  • Collaboration:


    • Work closely with various stakeholders to achieve appropriate cost categorization & management.



Demonstrate commitment to Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and apply knowledge of compliance policies and procedures, standards and laws applicable to job responsibilities in the performance of work.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus).
  • Proven experience in Accounting.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and cost management.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools/spreadsheet software.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Effective communication skills to convey financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with GAAP accounting and SOX requirements.
  • Familiarity with statutory accounting is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
