The Mid-Level Business Segment Liaison (BSL) serves as a key technology enablement specialist within the Care In The Home Readiness Team, independently managing system access, technology provisioning, and mobile solutions for healthcare professionals performing home visits. This position bridges technology needs with training initiatives, working collaboratively with the Department Director, Training Coordinator, Instructional Designer, and Subject Matter Experts to ensure seamless integration of technology into the clinical training and care delivery process.

Primary Responsibilities:

Technology Management & Optimization



  • Independently manage the full lifecycle of technology provisioning and access requests for clinical applications, particularly eClinicalWorks EMR
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for technology procedures and workflows
  • Analyze technology utilization patterns to identify optimization opportunities
  • Troubleshoot moderate to complex technology issues for field-based staff
  • Serve as the primary technology liaison between the Care In The Home Readiness Team and IT support services


Training Technology Integration



  • Partner with the Instructional Designer to develop and implement technical solutions for mobile/field-based learning
  • Collaborate with the Training Coordinator to enhance technology aspects of the training environment
  • Provide technical expertise for development of system training materials, particularly for eClinicalWorks EMR
  • Support the Department Director with technology implementation planning for new clinical initiatives
  • Develop technical setup protocols for various training scenarios (virtual, in-person, hybrid)


Mobile Workforce Enablement



  • Design and implement solutions for field staff to access necessary resources in various connectivity environments
  • Develop clear processes to distinguish between secure (VPN-required) and general access content
  • Create user guides and reference materials specific to mobile technology use cases
  • Evaluate and recommend mobile applications and tools to enhance field-based workflows
  • Analyze field staff feedback to continuously improve mobile technology solutions


Cross-Functional Leadership



  • Lead technology aspects of onboarding/offboarding processes in coordination with the Training Coordinator
  • Create comprehensive reports on technology metrics for the Department Director and other stakeholders
  • Develop standard operating procedures for technology management across the home visit program
  • Serve as escalation point for complex technology issues affecting training or field operations
  • Mentor entry-level BSL staff on technical support and problem-solving approaches


Compliance & Security Coordination



  • Collaborate with the Department Director to ensure technology solutions meet compliance requirements
  • Develop and implement security protocols for mobile technology use
  • Create and maintain documentation of system access levels and permissions
  • Conduct regular audits of user access to ensure appropriate permissions
  • Train field staff on security best practices for mobile healthcare delivery

Required Qualifications:



  • 2+ years of experience in technology support roles, preferably in healthcare
  • Experience supporting mobile or field-based workforces
  • Demonstrated experience managing user access and technology provisioning
  • Solid knowledge of healthcare applications, particularly EMR systems
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, WebEx, and teleconferencing systems
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements, particularly HIPAA
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven excellent communication abilities with both technical and non-technical audiences



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR

The hourly range for this role is $19.86 to $38.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
