SUMMARY The Quality Control Technician supports the Quality Assurance Manager in upholding rigorous standards throughout every step of production and testing. Inspects and monitors releases of raw goods and finished products. Performs thorough, duplicated checks on customer orders from start to finish. Using mathematical skills, analysis, and profound attention to detail, evaluates raw goods, semi-finished goods, products, and customer orders to ensure compliance with quality standards and accuracy. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform product testing activities throughout production cycles.
- Under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager, analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management or staff, including material release status.
- Rigorously follow inspection and testing procedures, ensuring the highest standards are met.
- Directly inspect a specified sample of all finished products according to procedure and report any problems to Quality Assurance Manager promptly.
- Directly inspect raw materials received from vendors according to procedure. Document and release to production floor if specifications are met.
- Author and provide Certificates of Compliance once products have met all specifications.
- Review customer order folders to ensure that the sales order matches all aspects of the purchase order, including quantity, part number, shipping address, pricing, and all special instructions.
- Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook, AWAIR and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education: High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year Quality Control/Assurance experience.
- Must have satisfactory verbal, written, and math skills.
- Basic proficiency in word processing, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to use measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, inside/outside micrometers, Vernier, pin gauges, height gauges, radius gauges, protractors, and dial indicators.
- Superior attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Strong ability to multi-task.
- Effective communication skills and cooperative attitude.
- Be willing to work in a very dynamic cultural environment and be a team player
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate or bachelor's degree
- 2-3 years Quality Control/Assurance experience
- Production/Warehouse experience
- ASQ Membership or certifications

- Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
- Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager. Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
