The minimum and maximum projected annualized salary for this position is: $110,214.00 to $186,277.20. Additional compensation may be possible based on experience and skills.

We understand the need to be creative and flexible when it comes to telecommuting and other alternative work arrangements. This position is eligible for our hybrid remote work and will work in the Bethesda, MD office four days per week.



Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst ensures accurate and timely financial reporting of EagleBank and Eagle Bancorp to the SEC and banking regulators. Specifically, responsible for the SEC Reporting ((10Q, 10K, 8-K filings. etc.) and quarterly submission of call reports and other required reporting to the regulators. This role is also responsible for ad hoc reporting such as Census Bureau and others. Develops and maintains reliable accounting information fulfilling financial reporting requirements and for the purpose of management planning and decision making. Supports the Finance organization in matters of financial analysis, as needed.



Qualifications

Requirements:

    Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Accounting
  • 5 years of similar experience working within finance group at a financial institution, public accounting firm or a large publicly traded company
  • 3 years SEC and regulatory reporting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, and SEC reporting requirements (including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.)
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software esp. Workiva (Other examples include Peoplesoft GL system, Oracle, SAP, or similar).
  • Familiarity with XBRL tagging and EDGAR filing processes.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
  • Proficient in MS Office. Advanced knowledge in Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.).
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines

Preferences:

  • Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) Accounting or Finance
  • Experience with financial reporting for banks, investment firms, or public companies is preferred
  • Understanding of completing the various regulatory reports FFIEC Call Report, FRY9-LP and FRY9-C and other regulatory filings as necessary).
  • Familiarity with the Federal Reserve and its various services that banks typically utilize.
  • Familiarity with correspondent banks and their services that banks typically utilize.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with auditors, regulators, and internal teams
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing regulations and reporting requirements.
