Registered Night Shift Nurse (RN) Opportunity - $65 per hour, 6 Month Contract

This full time, 6 month assignment, working 36 hours per week. There is an opportunity to work either Day or Night shift. 1 year Behavioral Health Experience required.

Cedar Hills Hospital currently has an opening for a RN in our dynamic mental health facility, who will provide safe and effective nursing care in their assigned work area(s) in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Cedar Hills Hospital and within the framework of established policies and procedures of the Nursing Department. The RN collaborates with physicians, licensed independent practitioners, and multidisciplinary team members to promote and restore patients' health by assessing patients, planning for their care, and providing physical and psychological treatment.

Our Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) Position Includes:

  • $65 per hour flat rate
  • 36 hours per week - 3 x 12 hour shifts
  • Weekends required
  • Opportunity to convert to a permanent position at the conclusion of the contract
  • Candidates employed by any UHS facility within the last 6 months are not eligible
  • Benefits excluded (temporary position)

Qualifications

  • Education: Associates degree in a school or nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred.
  • Experience: One or more year's psychiatric nursing experience is a plus but it not required. 1 year of RN experience required.
  • Licensure: Currently has an unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse through the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Must be able to demonstrate core nursing knowledge/competencies including, but not limited to medication administration and principles of adult education; ability to read, comprehend, and execute policies, procedures, treatment plans, and clinical standards found in nursing practice literature; ability to provide succinct and effective oral and written communications to co-workers and patients; able to make sound, independent judgments based on scientific and/or ethical principles; and knowledge of behavior management strategies required to provide care for persons with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders.

Must demonstrate basic computer literacy.

May be asked to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
