Market Executive - Advanced Manufacturing

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Market Executive to provide overall market leadership and direction to our advanced manufacturing sector in the Nashville region. You will develop and improve customer relationships by providing excellent service. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary as you will be interacting with staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment. Your ability to remain flexible, inventive, dedicated, and efficient with a high level of integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • In partnership with leaders, develop and execute strategy to grow business within the advanced manufacturing market

    • This position will report to the Nashville Office
    • Understand market priorities, insights, influences and potential disruptor
    • Strategically analyze market trends and develop plan for understanding customers and winning work

  • Lead business development within Advanced Manufacturing (VP/GM, BD leader, Market Strategy leader)

    • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential partners including, but not limited to: targeted customers, design professionals, partner companies, community leaders, utilities, equipment manufacturers, and engineering firm
    • Become familiar with customer's project estimates to facilitate discussion with customer

  • Establish and maintain successful customer/community relationships within the advanced manufacturing market
  • Provide leadership to project teams within advanced manufacturing

    • Review work of PE, Senior PM and PM assigned to project
    • Mentor and manage team members, establishing and fostering team environment
    • Develop team members for future career consideration and training opportunities

  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
  • Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance
  • Networking and building relationships with architects and engineers within the advanced manufacturing sector
  • Advanced manufacturing market research
  • High level design phase and construction oversight



QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum ten years of construction management/project management or related experience
  • Experience pursuing and building advanced manufacturing related facilities
  • Ability to fulfill responsibilities for multiple, large complex projects
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
  • Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
  • Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
  • Positive professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
  • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
  • Current driver's license
  • Travel

The base pay range for this role is $174,400 MIN - $261,600 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
