Senior Project Director (Healthcare)

Vanir Construction Management, Inc. currently has a unique opportunity for a talented individual to assist in the continued strategic growth of our organization. The position of Senior Project Director (Healthcare) will work collaboratively with colleagues and our existing client(s) to deliver intelligent solutions that ensure quality project delivery. This position will also be responsible for leading our PNW area in expanding our opportunities in the healthcare market. This individual will be responsible for providing oversight on the planning, design, and delivery for programs as well as contribute to the development of project policies, standards, and procedures. Will supervise Project Directors, Managers, Construction Managers and other project staff as assigned. Responsible for client interface, scope, schedule, and budget tasks as the senior leadership in the field. This position will be based in the Greater Seattle area.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead our efforts in accordance with the program policies and procedures
• Will supervise the work and performance of others, including Project Directors, Managers, Construction Managers and other project staff as assigned, through ongoing coaching, feedback and development to motivate, engage and drive a high performing team
• Develop and report program & project Key Performance Indicators
• Lead and champion our PNW area in healthcare strategic planning, business development and marketing efforts
• Oversee the development and implementation plan and master schedule that reflects the priorities of the program
• Manages relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction with project teams and to develop additional work opportunities
• Authorizes set-up and manages to completion contractual responsibilities for all assigned projects
• Responsible for timely completion of all Program and Project deliverables required by the client
• Financial reporting to the client and the bond oversight committee
• Develop and review contract documents
• Develop reports and collaborate with client's senior management team on all project matters
• Develop and implement a program quality management system
• Document and report all program/project data accurately and in a timely manner
• Manage program controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures required by the client
• Track all program and project level status and provide management reports relative to scheduling, cost control, staffing and other related contract requirements
• Create and present program and project data clearly to multiple internal and external stakeholder groups
• Identify risk and create risk mitigation plans successfully
• Develop recommended actions and assist in resolving disputes relative to design and construction
• Provide management of program logistics, organization, and manpower utilization
• Recommend appropriate contractual contractor safety responsibilities
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure program and project success
• Ensure contractor, architect, and engineer will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of performance, project staff, and equipment
• Manages relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction with project teams and to develop additional work opportunities
• Responsible for ensuring fiscal year plan objectives are tracked, and reported related to revenue, budget and contribution goals

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related degree is required
• Ideal candidates will possess 15+ years of experience providing project / program management services
• Previous Experience managing large Healthcare programs is required
• Experience in managing the full cycle of healthcare planning, procurement, design, and construction project, including pre-construction, design, construction, closeout, and activation phases.
• Knowledge and application of cost modeling, Target Value Delivery, construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation control, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices are required
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project related scheduling systems such as MS Project or Primavera are required
• Experience in alternative project delivery methods including Progressive Design-Build
• Experience in maximizing the benefits of Building Information Modeling (BIM) is preferred
• Experience in application of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills required
• Experience Preparing and presenting to various diverse audiences required
• Experience with Lean project delivery tools, promoting collaborative behaviors and highly collaborative teams preferred
• Active Member in industry organizations such as CMAA, ASHE, LCI, etc preferred
• Registration as Architect or Professional Engineer license is preferred
• CMAA - CCM certification preferred
• DBIA - Design Build certification is preferred

Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $150,00-$226,000.
