GENERAL SUMMARY:

Shift: Full Time

Location: Detroit, MI

The Pharmacy Analytics Supervisor plays a key role within Pharmacy Shared Services, supporting the High Value Pharmacy Enterprise (HVPE) by developing and executing an integrated pharmacy analytics strategy that spans the pharmacy enterprise. This position is responsible for building and advancing pharmacy analytics capabilities that drive cost-savings and improve quality, safety, and operational efficiency throughout the continuum of the enterprise.

As an enterprise leader, serves as a key partner to pharmacy leadership and IT/analytics teams, the supervisor leads efforts to democratize high-value medication data, ensuring it is effectively structured, governed, and leveraged for decision-making. They will establish foundational analytics infrastructure and best practices, with the expectation of growing the team over time. This position requires a balance of technical expertise, clinical experience, leadership, and strategic vision to ensure pharmacy analytics evolves in alignment with the HVPE medication management strategy and the overall organization.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Maintains day-to-day responsibility for primary pharmacy location with oversight of multiple other locations.
  • Implements departmental policies, procedures, programs, performance standards and productivity indicators for ambulatory pharmacy sites, and ensures each follows all federal and state laws and regulations. Assists in the coordination of all related inspections by licensure and accrediting agencies/organizations.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, as well as Henry Ford policies and procedures to ensure adherence. Accountable for regulatory compliance for respective ambulatory pharmacy locations, such as HIPAA, Joint Commission standards and CMS compliance.
  • Responsible for ensuring financial targets are met including total revenue and net income.
  • Assists in analyzing periodic financial and pharmacy reports to improve operational performance.
  • Assists the respective pharmacy leader within the Pharmacy Enterprise on the formulation of short- and long- term goals, objectives, and initiatives for designated ambulatory pharmacy locations.
  • Implements all initiatives and policies developed by the Medication Management Committee and respective business unit Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committees as needed.
  • Assists in planning, developing, and implementing new pharmacy programs and services.
  • Assist with drug dispensing and distributive functions as needed.
  • Assist in the interview, selection, and hiring of subordinate personnel. Evaluate the performance and, when necessary, disciplines subordinate personnel. Provide guidelines and direction to subordinate management staff in resolving complex employee relations matters and other day to day operational issues.
  • Makes recommendations for acquisition of new or additional pharmacy programs, equipment, and systems.
  • Provides education to other health care professionals, pharmacists, patients and students about optimal drug therapy, dosing, new medications, and research etc. This may involve formal preceptorship of graduate and undergraduate students or pharmacists, and both formal and informal didactic presentations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and current Michigan Licensure as a Registered Pharmacist required.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience as a supervisor or leader in an ambulatory pharmacy environment.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of integrated health systems, managed care, and progressive pharmacy practice required.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with a wide variety of system personnel, patients and members of the community and effectively lead work groups, inclusive of strong customer focus.
  • Analytical skills necessary to interpret and administer budgets, evaluate methods of delivery of service to patients and assess effectiveness of these methods and recommend new techniques, procedures, and business opportunities.


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:



  • Current Michigan Licensure as a Registered Pharmacist required.
