Surgical Tech Intern
Overview Presbyterian is seeking a surgical tech intern to assist the surgical team in preparing and organizing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and supporting surgical procedures under the direct supervisor and guidance of experienced surgical technologists and other healthcare professionals. Qualifications *High School Diploma or GED BLS Certification required at time of hire. Responsibilities The student will be able to perform the following tasks as it pertains to each surgical procedure: * Set up a sterile field with necessary supplies for procedure based on preference card and according to the Rules of Asepsis. The student should exhibit the following behaviors: Demonstrate professional discretion with patient information, providing privacy and confidentiality.
