What You'll Do:
Triton International is seeking an Accounting Intern to assist our Accounting team with various internal and external accounting requirements. This role provides hands-on experience in a variety of areas within corporate accounting. The intern will work closely with the entire Accounting department, rotating through different areas including external reporting and equipment accounting. To be successful, the individual is expected to be a self-starter, enthusiastic and curious about all facets of accounting.
Key responsibilities will include:


  • Assisting with various responsibilities within the Accounting Department including the preparation of work papers and journal entries, account reconciliations, and obtaining supporting documentation for internal control procedures.
  • Supporting the team with variance analysis of corporate results while working with various departments to obtain insights and document cohesive explanations.
  • Assisting with the preparation of consolidated financial statements for internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Supporting SEC-related reporting functions such as 20F, 6K's, etc.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects as needed.



What We're Looking For:


  • Rising senior or recent graduate with a Bachelor's in Accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of D365 a plus
  • Ability to take ownership and shows interest in work-related initiatives
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to commit to 37.5 hours/week.


  • Must be at a commutable distance (within 50 miles) to the Purchase, NY office
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

* This is a paid internship. The expected hourly rate for this role is $20/hour.
