What you will do:
- Set up and operate CNC and associated production machines to fabricate copper components according to engineering specifications
- Set up and operate CNC expander and tube bender to create coil tubing and expand coils
- Ability to set up and operate all equipment in the work area, including properly making adjustments, consistently using pre-controls and meeting or exceeding quality standards
- Fabricate directly from drawings, samples or instructions without supervision
- Select all tools, dyes, and plane gauge requirements
- Check bent parts to drawing specifications and tolerance using proper measurement and inspection equipment
- Operations include, but are not limited to drilling, power saw, manual bender (various bends), power sizer, end-forming, bending, swaging, reaming, sizing, deburring, dimpling and other similar operations on various sizes and types of tubing
- Perform preventative maintenance and minor machine maintenance to include oiling machines, dies or work pieces
- Stack, mark and transport finished parts
- Train new members on the various machines, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent items regarding safety, quality and production
- Responsible for maintaining the 5s program to ensure a clean work area
- Follow and understand HOMESafe, Personal Choice and company safety manual requirements.
- Identify and rework defective work pieces to comply with quality standards
- Read and interpret blue prints, sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal products, including machine adjustments and material requirements per engineering requirements.
- Ability to use hand tools
- Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks), obtain PIT License
- Obtain Certification in leak testing and vacuum and charge
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to operate hand tools
- Ability to read and understand written English
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous manufacturing experience
