About the Role

The Supply Chain Production Planner will initially join the core project team responsible for the launch of the new Florence, SC plant. This role will be responsible for helping to develop the process standards and related training for managing customer demand plan and creating the production plan to support the customer plan. The production planner will manage production master data (working with IE), fully own the creation and release of the production plan, create and manage planning documents, and coordinate 4M change orders with internal plant stakeholders. The role will require knowledge of inventory control practices, yearly budget planning, continuous improvement, OEE, industrial manufacturing production process flow, and financial impacts of planning changes.

What You Will Do
  • Creation of mid-term, annual, & immediate production plans for S&OP.
  • SOP & EOP planning responsibility.
  • Preparation/Follow-up & implementation of production plan.
  • Coordinate weekly meeting with operations, maintenance, engineering, etc. to review production plan, deviations from plan, & recovery schedule.
  • Responsible for customer meetings regarding forecasting & firm orders - including notification of abnormalities in the customer demand data.
  • Tracking, solving, & ensuring output of exceptions to production plan.
  • Establish shipping plan based on customer demand.
  • Communicating shipping plan with warehouse manager, supervisor, & logistics technologist.
  • New product review and production planning.
  • Creating & tracking work order (production order) status and closure.
  • Creating and maintaining KPI reporting to plant management.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications
What You Need
  • High school diploma
  • Two or more years of material planning experience.
  • Is knowledgeable of the material flow through an industrial manufacturing facility and raw material ordering processes based on manufacturing production plan
  • Expert understanding in principles, concepts, practices and standards related to supply and logistics system information management.
  • Experience working in and maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel and others relevant to company processes.
  • Professional communication skills are essential when conversing and negotiating with internal and external contacts.
  • Experience working to improve all logistical aspects of the supply chain by streamlining processes.
  • Intermediary computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use logistics software to input data and research parts.
  • Familiar with the functions and controls of a Warehouse Management System. Ability to recognize safety concerns
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong coordination and judgment skills
  • Strong Problem-Solving skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
  • Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards. (training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
  • Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards. (training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
What is "Nice to Have"?
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Proficiency with Supply Chain Management software and enterprise resource planning application experience, such as SAP, is preferred

Work Environment
