Overview

The Clinical Review Pharmacist-Part-Time will be responsible for completing prior authorization reviews and assisting in formulary management, pharmacy and therapeutics committee activities, communication with physicians and pharmacists, and communication with staff on departmental policies and procedures. On call duties are a requirement of the job.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required. Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of New York required.
  • Five (5) years of pharmacy experience required; professional experience providing pharmaceutical care preferred.
  • PC and windows skills required. Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience communicating with other health care professionals.
  • Strong clinical knowledge base. Kept current through educational endeavors and professional affiliations, strong comprehension of pharmaceutical managed care issues.
  • Proven examples of displaying the IH values: Passionate, Caring, Respectful, Trustworthy, Collaborative and Accountable.
Essential Accountabilities
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the prior authorization process.
  • Knowledge of clinical protocols, policies and procedures required to administer the pharmacy benefit with consistency and expediency.
  • Prepare communication as required.

Hiring Compensation Range: $55.00 - $62.50 hourly

Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience.

In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
