What you'll do:

We're seeking a passionate and strategic Director of Product Marketing to build and lead trader engagement programs that cultivate a thriving community of our platform users. You will be the subject matter expert, partnering closely with Client Services, Product, and Marketing to develop and execute innovative engagement programs to deepen relationships, enhance platform adoption, and foster a sense of belonging among our user base. You will be responsible for creating and delivering impactful content, events, and community initiatives that inspire and empower traders to maximize their success on our platform.

  • Develop and execute a trader engagement strategy by designing and implementing a comprehensive plan that aligns with business objectives and drives platform adoption, loyalty, and advocacy.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of high-quality content, including best practices guides, tutorials, webinars, blog posts, and case studies, tailored to the needs of our trader audience.
  • Participate in the strategic planning and execution of our signature live event series, which offers insights, training, and networking opportunities for traders.
  • Design programs and activations that promote a strong sense of community among traders.
  • Develop and implement programs that recognize and reward top-performing traders, fostering a sense of achievement and motivation.
  • Establish mechanisms for collecting and analyzing trader feedback to identify areas for improvement and inform product development.
  • Collaborate closely with client services, trading, product, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment on trader engagement initiatives.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of trader engagement programs and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Act as the internal voice of the trader within Marketing, ensuring their needs and feedback are represented in strategic decision-making.


Who you are:



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • 7+ years of product marketing experience in the ad tech or digital media industry, with a focus on planning and executing programmatic ad buys.
  • Strong understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, including DSPs, measurement and attribution, audience targeting, and performance optimization. Direct programmatic media buying experience is a plus. Proven track record of developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies that drive measurable results.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful client or user engagement programs that drive measurable results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear and compelling messaging.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$149,900 $274,900 USD
