What you'll do:

We're seeking a passionate and strategic Director of Product Marketing to drive the go-to-market strategy and execution for our inventory management products and offerings. This includes our OpenPath offering (direct publisher buying), our enhanced deal management experience and seller APIs, and our marketplace quality initiatives. You will be the subject matter expert, partnering closely with our Product, Inventory, and Commercial teams to translate complex technical features into compelling value propositions that resonate with clients and partners and drive product adoption.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to improve the programmatic marketplace and help shape the future of the ad-supported open internet.



  • Drive product adoption and revenue by partnering with Product, Inventory, and Commercial teams to achieve product and business objectives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans for new and existing products, including defining target audiences, value propositions, messaging, and integrated launch plans.
  • Craft clear, concise, and compelling product positioning and messaging that highlights the unique value of our inventory solutions and differentiates The Trade Desk from competitors.
  • Develop a wide range of marketing materials, including sales enablement tools, presentations, articles, case studies, videos, and more.
  • Help equip our sales and client services teams with the knowledge and resources they need to sell the value of our product offerings.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive threats.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and sales teams to gather feedback, prioritize features, and ensure alignment on product roadmap and go-to-market plans.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product adoption and the success of marketing initiatives to identify areas for improvement.
  • Become a recognized subject matter expert on The Trade Desk's inventory solutions, serving as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders.


Who you are:



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • 7+ years of product marketing experience in the ad tech or digital media industry, with a focus on inventory, supply, or programmatic advertising.
  • Strong understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, exchanges, and publishers. Supply-side experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies that drive measurable results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear and compelling messaging.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$149,900 $274,900 USD
