The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $20-$26/hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Planning & Development
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to understand product requirements and specifications
    • Assist in creating comprehensive test plans and validation procedures
    • Develop automated or manual test scripts to evaluate product performance
  • Execution & Analysis
    • Conduct functional, stress, regression, and reliability testing
    • Collect and analyze test data; identify trends or anomalies
    • Document test setups and processes to ensure repeatability and reliability
  • Reporting & Documentation
    • Create clear, concise test reports summarizing findings and recommendations
    • Maintain thorough documentation of test results, including bugs, defects, and test logs
    • Present findings to the engineering team, providing insights for product improvements
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, product) to identify and troubleshoot issues
    • Recommend process enhancements to improve testing efficiency
    • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to share insights and learnings

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Familiarity with basic programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, or Java) and scripting to automate test tasks.
  • Exposure to hardware test setups, lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters), or embedded systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in test execution and documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear documentation and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Willingness to work closely with senior engineers, learn from feedback, and ask questions proactively.
  • Self-motivation and ability to follow directions while also taking initiative.
  • Demonstrated interest in validation, quality assurance, or product reliability.
  • Openness to developing new technical skills and learning industry-standard tools/methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
