Description

Arnold Ventures is a philanthropy whose core objective is to maximize opportunity and minimize injustice. We are dedicated to tackling some of the most pressing problems in the United States. We invest in sustainable change, building it from the ground up based on research, deep thinking, and a strong foundation of evidence. We drive public conversation, craft policy, and inspire action through education and advocacy.

Position Overview

The advocacy, communications, and external affairs team (ACE) aims to effectively position the organization as a trusted champion for evidence-based, nonpartisan policy solutions to America's toughest challenges. This includes both communications through original content creation and distribution of our policy priorities, and direct engagement and relationship building with targeted policy stakeholders.

The Health Care portfolio advances evidence-based solutions that address both the high price we pay for health care and the value we get from those investments. We seek to drive lasting change that spans the health care landscape, with a focus on: Drug Prices, Commercial Sector Prices, Medicare Sustainability, Provider Payment Incentives, Medicaid and State Policy Engagement, and Clinical Trials.

The Contraceptive Choice and Access work seeks to close gaps in access by researching, developing, and advocating on a nonpartisan and evidence-based basis for policies that ensure that everyone in this country can access and afford contraception. Access to contraception is a vital tool for health and economic opportunity. Affordable birth control provides families with freedom and flexibility for their planning.

We are seeking a manager to help develop and execute the organization's investment and partnership strategies to advance the objectives of the Health Care and Contraceptive Choice and Access portfolios at the state and federal level. This individual will work closely with team members on substantive advocacy and communications campaigns and gain experience in supporting the development and management of high-impact philanthropic projects.
