The Opportunity

We are seeking a Strategic Intelligence Manager. This position will be based in our New York office (hybrid).Join our team and play a crucial role in driving business growth. You'll be responsible for managing an alert system that tracks key clients and targets, helping us stay informed and proactive. Work alongside our business development lead to identify new opportunities, refine our processes, and research market trends. Your analytical skills will be essential in benchmarking against competitors and supporting our practice initiatives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establishes and manages a comprehensive alert system to track key clients and targets.
  • Researches and shares insights with partners and suggests actionable next steps, on an as needed basis.
  • Collaborates with the practice business development lead to monitor promising opportunities, refine processes, and identify potential clients and targets.
  • Researches and prepares company profiles including information on company operations, connections to key senior management and board, analysis of deals and litigation activity, and recent news.
  • Benchmarks current positions versus competitors through analysis of league tables, corporate transactions, litigation events and even recent legal industry news.
  • Monitors and analyzes new developments in various industries and geographic regions using internal and external data sources.
  • Ad hoc analysis of insert practice in support of various practice and/or office initiatives.
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
  • Manages Firm resources responsibly.
  • Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficient using full MS Suite with intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, look-ups, etc.)
  • Ability to synthesize, interpret and summarize information from various sources in a clear, concise manner
  • Takes ownership for significant portion of projects and generate action-oriented insights and recommendations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deliverable deadlines and display sound judgement, particularly with sensitive and confidential information
  • Self-starter capable of working independently as well as within a team and comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable to change
  • Ability to remain effective and adaptable to change
  • Excellent analytical ability with a keen business sense, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills
  • Resourceful internet research skills utilizing various online sources
  • Basic understanding and or exposure to business financials (including SEC filings)
  • Well-rounded interpersonal skills and communication skills (both verbal and written) with the capacity to build trust-based relationships with teammates and stakeholders
  • Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment
  • Highly self-motivated, a passion for excellence and the desire to have a significant impact
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of two years in investment banking

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.

Salary Details

$150,000 - $170,000
