The Credit Specialist/Credit Specialist II responsibilities include but arenot limited to:
- Credit analysis and monitoring of an assigned portfolio of counterparties.
- Assisting in development and enhancement of procedures; tracking counterparty exposures and accounts receivable.
- Responsible for Exposure Reports validation and daily communication to the Commercial team.
- Identifying issues that may negatively affect counterparty ability to repay and elevating them promptly to senior management.
- Preparing requests to establish or increase counterparty credit limits, integrating discussion of key risks with the business case for exposure.
- Negotiating credit support, including letters of credit, guaranties or pre-payment arrangements.
- Maintenance of Provisional Invoicing Tracker and cash application of payments for high-risk NGL counterparties.
- Providing analytical support to evaluate credit risks of structured transactions.
- Ad hoc support for projects as needed.
Required Experience and Skills:
- 2+ years of experience that demonstrates sound corporate credit judgement.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Ability to analyze data, identify issues and develop/defend recommendations.
- Experience in the following software -Salesforce, S&P Capital IQ, Moody's, Openlink (Endur), DocuSign and Experian.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Experience in the evaluation of commercial agreements and documents.
- Energy industry knowledge strongly preferred.
- Formal credit training.
Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states: Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York unless willing to relocate.
