This position primarily involves industrial maintenance of chemical skids and managing chemicals at a customer facility.

A service technician will be a part of a team that will focus on supporting all aspects of our chemical applications at a customer location. This position focuses on ensuring our chemical feed equipment is properly working, products are transferred in a safe manner and supports quality testing on an as needed basis. Safety and communication are the highest priorities in this job. It's important to discuss all daily, or weekly, tasks with the local sales team.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment: exposure to heat/cold, industrial noise, etc.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Advanced mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Capacity to assess data and make application adjustments to maintain system performance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel)
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Self-motivated
  • Extremely high safety awareness-Ability to complete safety training, follow safety policies and work in a safety-oriented manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Focus on safety initiatives at the customer sites to improve overall working conditions
  • Routine testing, inventory management & forecasting, inventory counts, equipment inventory, equipment troubleshooting and maintenance (electrical and mechanical), chemical ordering, safety checks, audits, chemical unloads and transfers, equipment housekeeping.
  • Development of relationships with the customer
  • Interface with the Logistics Team to ensure on-time delivery of products
  • Interface with account managers to communicate issues and work prioritization.
  • Position requires flexibility in schedule including after-hours calls from the customer that require after hours service visits. Position is primarily M-F dayshift but also includes weekend OT hours that is rotated between the technicians.

Within the role:

  • Understanding of systematic components regarding various styles of pumps, motors and other chemical dosing skids
  • Experience with and ability to troubleshoot and determine root-cause of pumping skid issues
  • Proficiency in installing or working with piping, tubing, motors, and general-use electrical components (relays, fuses, cards, etc,.)
  • Able to resolve or identify drive or PLC error codes; DCS experience a plus

Minimum 5 years experience working on mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial environment. Chemical handling experience is desired but not required.
