This position works as part of a team scheduling external production assets, ordering raw materials, supplies and components in accordance with the master production schedule, expediting orders to ensure timely delivery, prioritizing production to meet the needs of the business and ensuring that tasks are undertaken safely, under highest quality standards and efficiency.

Role will require coordination with internal asset planners and schedulers, particularly where an internal asset supplies an external asset for downstream production.Tasks will be assigned based on needs of the business.Personnel may be more in a scheduling capacity or more in an expediting capacity.Cross-functional capability is required to ensure that the business needs are met.

  • Convert monthly production plans to monthly and weekly schedules for assigned internal and external manufacturing assets.

  • Prioritize production based on balancing sales requirements against vendor material and component availability, site throughput constraints and logistical considerations (i.e. domestic v export).

  • Manage interdependencies between internal and external manufacturing assets (i.e. Charleston and CHC tollers).

  • Ensure raw materials, supplies and components are available at the manufacturing sites in accordance with schedule.This includes releasing, tracking and receiving based on location.

  • Manage actual production to schedule with external assets and report out on a daily basis.Ensuring timely production reporting in SAP.

  • Manage inventories on all non-pipeline, company owned raw materials, supplies and components.

  • Interface with Operations at internal and external sites to ensure optimal line utilization against the product mix being produced.

  • Interface with Procurement and Purchasing on material supply and availability, supplier performance, and expediting.Lead or assist with root cause investigation regarding quality and otherperformance challenges.

  • Interface with Customer Service and Logistics to ensure customer needs are met, including preparation of sample orders (packaging materials)

  • Participate in cycle counting, annual physical inventory activities, integration activities and other special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with 3-5 years experience in operations, production analysis, material management and data anaylsis,OR BA/BS in Supply Chain or Logistics Management with 1-2 years experience in supply chain data analysis

  • Strong skills in Excel required

  • Knowledge of SAP, Tableau preferred

  • Ability to work with broad spectrum of people in internal partnership

  • Ability to work with partner third party personnel
