About the Role
Responsible to administer all affairs between GDLS and suppliers for various types of purchase orders and subcontracts for the Indirect Purchasing team.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role
  • Solicitation/Preparation of Request for Proposals (RFP's) and Request for Quotes (RFQ's)
  • Conducting on-site competition bids at GDLS locations
  • Cost analysis of proposals
  • Proposal fact finding
  • Proposal negotiations, including cost, terms and conditions, payment terms, and scope of work
  • Purchase order preparation, placement, and continued administration/monitoring to assure compliance to requirements/scope of work
  • Long term agreement and terms and conditions negotiations
  • Onboarding of new suppliers & NDA's
  • Technical ability to interpret drawings and determine completeness of scope of work
  • Formal purchase order completions
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers such as payment discrepancies
  • Working closely with requestors on developing suppliers
  • Serve as a Program Manager between supplier and GDLS functional departments
  • Ensure GDLS compliance with applicable procurement laws and regulations
  • Expedite material to meet plant and engineering needs
  • Work as a team member and assist/mentor colleagues as needed
  • Comfortable in working with and presenting to senior leadership, both internal and external
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Travel estimated 20%

Qualifications Sought
  • Ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain Management, other majors or areas of study will be considered with appropriate background and experience
  • Ability to use the Oracle system (or equivalent) desirable
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and multi-tasking abilities
  • High standard of business ethics and practices
  • High capability to operate autonomously and problem solve complex matters
  • Domestic travel - international travel possible
  • Ability to work with international suppliers
