Job Description |
The Security Supervisor is responsible for the overall safety and protection for the entire 72-acre NCED Campus including USPS employees, visitors, and property. Maintaining proper staffing, work schedules, quality performance, safety training, operational training, equipment maintenance, and supply management, are key elements of this position. Duties and Responsibilities* Supervises activities of Security employees. * Develops and coordinates workload and scheduling. Provides quality control inspections continuously. * Ensures proper staffing of Security functional areas. * Ensures safety procedures are enforced at all times. * Schedules Security Guards to ensure 24-hour monitoring of USPS electronic surveillance system and other protective systems. * Schedules periodic roving patrols of building, parking lots, and grounds. * Prepares reports. * Initiates Prepares reports when required. * Ensures compliance with monthly and weekly schedules. * Instructs personnel in specific equipment operations and verifies operational competency. * Ensures compliance with Company Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct and Business Conduct Program. * Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local safety and health regulations.

Qualifications |
Pay Rate: DOE Required Skills and Qualifications * High school graduate or GED. * 5 years' experience supervising security personnel. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is a top priority. * Must share a commitment to maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment while simultaneously optimizing individual performance and contribution. * A driver's license and a good driving record are also required. * Previous security experience and the flexibility to supervise seasonal and temporary work crews is necessary. * Good customer service skills are also required for working with clients. * Must past drug screen and OSBI background check. Physical Demands and Working Conditions
* Physically able to respond to any location on the NCED campus in a timely manner. * Physically able to work in inclement weather conditions. * Physically able to stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours), climb stairs, stoop, bend, kneel, and lift from a floor position. * Physically able to carry a person of average size and weight out of an area, if needed. * Must be capable of working outside in the heat and cold for extended periods of time. * Must be able to lift 75 pounds unassisted. * Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the duties and responsibilities.
Terms of Employment and Eligibility Requirements * Must be a U.S. Citizen. * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions. * Must pass pre-employment background screening. * Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and periodic retests. * Must obtain a USPS security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance throughout employment. * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
