Overview

The Radiology Care Coordinator is responsible for the scheduling of multiple imaging modalities, cardiology testing, lab appointments and OP infusion appointments along with working with providers, staff and patients to facilitate timely and appropriate scheduling. They will assist in guiding the patient and referring providers and staff through any delays in exam prep, scheduling, or prior auth. They will assist in hands on patient care when needed to included patient transport, patient chaperone during imaging exams when required, and act as a backup to MRI Tech Aide positions.
Qualifications

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA), Education: , Work Experience: Office
Responsibilities

Master schedule multiple imaging modalities (MRI, CT, X-Ray, Ultrasound, NM, ect) cardiology testing, OP Infusion appointments at multiple locations
Provides patients and providers with division specific patient education materials to ensure they are prepared for scheduled tests/procedures.
Transcribe outside orders, track and follow up on outstanding orders, reports, and patient documentaiton.
Maintains department patient schedule, ensures blocks are full and cancelled appointments are rescheduled.
Have basic knowledge of patient check in and prior-auth to assist with urgent/Stat radiology orders at the clinic the scheduler is located.
Perform hands on patient care when needed by transporting patients to and from locations, acting as a chaperone during appointments, and providing back up support to the MRI Tech aide when needed.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $18per hour - $29.13per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
