The Director, Senior Corporate Counsel will play a key role in supporting Salesforce's Global Procurement Services organization in structuring sourcing transactions and drafting and negotiating supply agreements with a primary focus on large technology and services technology transactions and should have management experience to lead a team of 2 to 5. The individual thrives under pressure and will be high-performing, results focused, and collaborative. Strategic and critical thinking and the ability to deliver under tight timelines while working closely with a wide array of cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment are critical to success in this role. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Teamwork: Lead, mentor and guide legal team members while collaborating with cross-functional team members across the business (sourcing, security, privacy, product and revenue recognition).

  • Contract Execution Under Pressure: Review, negotiate, draft, and drive fast turnaround times on high-value buy-side agreements, including cloud, SaaS agreements, professional services agreements and AI transactions.

  • Executive Communication: Confidence in communicating contract and legal concepts to C-suite executives involving high-value and visibility hyperscaler/public cloud deals.

  • Lead & Deliver at Speed: Provide rapid, business-savvy legal advice while effectively managing legal risk and ensuring compliance across sourcing transactions.

  • Process Efficiency & Innovation: Identify and implement legal process improvements to support rapid deal closure. Assist in developing training materials and provide training to the business on relevant legal topics and best practices.

  • Have Fun While Doing It: Work hard, adapt quickly, and bring a positive, solutions focused approach to challenging situations. Look after yourself, your colleagues, and the company's interests.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • J.D. degree from an accredited and accredited law school/university; licensed to practice law in the United States.

  • Minimum 10 years of legal experience, with strong leadership and managing experience and a proven ability to work under tight timelines in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, and demanding industry.

  • Demonstrated success in closing high value technology contracts.

  • Experience in contracting across highly regulated sectors, including financial services (FINS) and healthcare is preferred.

  • Exceptional contract negotiation and drafting skills, attention to detail, and strong legal reasoning, particularly in high-pressure transactions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Team-oriented and collaborative attitude.

  • Proven track record developing and maintaining strong working relationships with demanding internal clients.

  • Familiar with and interested in technical concepts (web applications, cloud computing, digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence) and the professional services associated with their implementation.

  • Highly adaptable and service-oriented demeanor. Ability to handle pressure and provide thoughtful recommendations.

  • A can-do attitude-proactive, autonomous, resilient, adaptable, eager to continually learn and develop professionally, and a team-first approach.

This role is hybrid and goes into the office 3 days per week.

For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $211,500 to $306,600.
