JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Penn State College of Medicine, Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, in Hershey, PA is recruiting a Pediatric Psychologist to begin a research program aimed at improving the psychosocial care of children dealing with oncologic and hematologic disorders. This is a faculty, non tenured role. Located in scenic Hershey, Pennsylvania, The Penn State College of Medicine is the only free-standing children's hospital in central Pennsylvania. The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology has consistently been recognized among the best pediatric programs in the country. Responsibilities: Establish an active research program aimed at improving the psychosocial care of children with cancer and hematologic disorders. Work toward becoming an independent investigator with extramural funding. Produce high quality psychosocial research publishable in peer reviewed journals. Establish a national presence through consistent publication and presentation of outcomes. Actively participate in division educational activities with fellows, residents and medical students. Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited graduate psychology program. At least three to five years of clinical experience in pediatric psychology. Demonstrated track record of scholarly accomplishments and potential. This is a limited-termnon-tenure lineposition funded for one year from date of hire, with possibility of refunding.This position will be hired as a Researcher or Assistant Professor based on qualifications.
