Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant Colorectal Surgery Dearborn and Novi Full Time Days

Great outpatient position for our Novi and Dearborn clinics. APP will be responsible for care of anorectal diseases, post-op care for stable patients, clinic assessment for screening colonoscopy, colorectal cancer post-op surveillance. The Specialty/Invasive Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The Specialty/Invasive NP will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families. Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently. Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience. Surgical outpatient experience is preferred. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master's degree in nursing. OR Bachelor's Degree or Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program- Surgical outpatient experience is preferred. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. Current State license as a Registered Nurse,-OR- Requires Michigan state licensure and continued certification by the National. Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Current BLS. Current ACLS/ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department.
