Pantheon Data (a Kenific Holding company) is a private, small business based in the Washington, DC, area. Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Our service offerings have grown in the past ten years, including infrastructure resiliency, contact center operations, information technology, software engineering, program management, strategic communications, engineering, and cybersecurity. We have also grown our customer base to include commercial clients. The company has used this experience to expand our service offerings to other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal Civilian Agencies.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager with a strong background in leading and maintaining IT and software development and implementation projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing small to mid-sized IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with government regulations and contractual obligations.

Responsibilities



  • Program Leadership & Execution: Oversee all phases of government IT/software projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Strategic Scoping & Planning:

    • Collaborate with government stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in alignment with contractual requirements.
    • Conduct thorough requirement gathering and analysis, ensuring alignment with agency needs, security policies, and compliance frameworks.
    • Establish clear project roadmaps with well-defined milestones, resource allocation plans, and risk assessments.
    • Ensure that scoping includes future scalability and adaptability for evolving government IT landscapes.


  • Government Deliverables & Compliance: Manage contract deliverables, ensuring adherence to government standards, compliance requirements, and reporting protocols.
  • Budget & Financial Oversight: Monitor and provide input into project budgets and provide regular financial updates to stakeholders.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for government clients, maintaining strong relationships and managing expectations.
  • Scheduling & Risk Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Communication & Reporting: Provide clear, respectful, and effective communication with government clients and internal teams through status reports, briefings, and documentation.


Qualifications & Experience



  • Proven experience managing government IT/software consulting projects.
  • Deep understanding of government contract requirements, deliverables, and compliance.
  • Strong expertise in budget management, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
  • Experience using project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with government stakeholders.


This role is ideal for a results-driven Program Manager who thrives in a government consulting environment, ensuring seamless project execution and exceptional client satisfaction.

Required Skills and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • 8 years professional experience with strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, hardworking team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, including experience meeting with and presenting information to senior leadership and Government.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with Project Management tools, such as Jira, Trello, and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong time management to ensure meetings are done efficiently and within time box.
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and present them in simple terms to non-technical team members and Government.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Experience in Government IT industries, USAF a plus.
  • Experience with the Agile software development methodology.
  • Experience in technical writing, internal communications, and marketing.
  • Experience in managing projects with JIRA.
  • Experience with DOD Travel Guidelines.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: United States - Remote

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $165,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
