Job Duties: Associate, Confirmations with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, Texas. Assess the validity of complex information entered in the Firm's proprietary risk systems and work with Sales, Trading, Legal, and other internal teams to ensure accuracy. Create and review bespoke commodities contracts daily across multiple products including Natural Gas, Base Metals, Precious Metals, Refined Products, Index Derivatives, Electricity, Renewables and Oil. Ensure trade economics are properly captured on the legal document(s) necessary upon execution of the trade. Validate trade information including asset class specific and region-specific market information. Streamline essential functions to meet reporting requirements. Ensure essential functions are performed consistently for the purpose of increased risk management, automation, and commodities trade assessment. Draft sample confirmations that will be leveraged by the Sales team when transactions are being negotiated. Act as project lead for initiatives that impact or reference trade confirmation workflow. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative field and two (2) years of experience in the role offered or a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience with: performing trade booking reviews; working with International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) agreements and other governing agreements used by the commodities industry; drafting sample contracts covering multiple commodity products; commodity futures contracts, commodity options contracts, and commodity indices; and technical workflows and proposing system enhancements to further streamline processes.
