The individual in this critical role is responsible for the efficient flow of materials through the facility including manufacturing and assembly to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery of product to the customer.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Supervise and plan succession for the planning team.
  • Responsible for developing and executing department budget and cost savings projects for $500,000,000+ in annual sales.
  • Develop and manage master production schedules, ensuring optimal safety, quality, and productivity for our foundry and assembly operations. Responsible for clearly communicating production schedules and inventory changes to senior leadership and operations.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems to improve material control, reduce costs, and enhance processes.
  • Establish materials forecast and maintain optimal inventory turns to eliminate past due. Review slow-moving goods to determine inactivate/work away/scrap slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
  • Review and adjust safety stocks to maintain level of sales activity and meet budgetary requirements (both DO or DRP - Distribution Requirements Planning).
  • Provide Agent support regarding sales orders and inventory.
  • Liaison with all USA manufacturing and DC sites, as well as Tech support IMS, BOM drawings, North America inventory control and assembly.
  • Collaborate with the Quality department and Distribution Centers to ensure quality products ship on time and that returns are properly tracked. Short shipment receiving, shipping control, correct and communicate discrepancies found in QAD.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, related field, or equivalent experience.

MANAGEMENT:

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Lean or Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
  • Ability to read, produce, analyze and interpret business, inventory, and sales reports.
  • Proficient with Power BI, QAD, and SAP.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Works in an office environment.
  • Ability to move throughout the warehouse and office areas.
  • May have some exposure to the warehouse.
  • Alternates between sitting, standing, and moving within the work area.
  • Must be able to manipulate equipment used in performance of tasks.
